Privacy Policy

Last updated: 01-10-2026

Cambridge Driving Academy Ltd ("we", "our", or "CDA") is committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data securely.

1. What We Collect

  • Name, phone number, and email
  • Driving preferences (manual or automatic)
  • Booking and payment information
  • Lesson feedback and communication history

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To manage lesson bookings and scheduling
  • To contact you regarding your course
  • To process payments
  • To improve our services

3. Data Sharing

  • Your personal data is only shared with your assigned instructor
  • We do not sell or distribute your information to third parties

4. Data Storage & Security

  • Your data is securely stored and accessed only by authorized personnel
  • We comply with the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018

5. Your Rights

  • Access your data
  • Correct inaccuracies
  • Request deletion
  • Withdraw consent for communication.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for up to five years following the completion of services unless required for legal compliance.

7. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Cookies are small files stored on your device. We only set the ones that are strictly necessary until you tell us otherwise. Everything else is off by default and is switched on only if you choose "Accept all" or turn it on in "Manage". Your choice is remembered for 12 months, and then we ask again.

Changing your choice. Select "Cookie settings" at the bottom of any page to open the cookie panel, where you can switch any group on or off at any time. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it. Cookies already set can also be deleted in your browser settings.

Necessary (always on)

These keep the site working and remember your choice. They do not need your consent.

Advertising

We use Google Ads to measure which of our adverts lead to an enquiry or a booking. When this is off, no advertising cookies are set and any already set are removed, but Google still receives limited signals without cookies, which can include your IP address, browser type and the page you visited, and your consent choice is passed to Google (Google Consent Mode).

Analytics

We do not currently use analytics cookies. This switch exists so that any analytics we add later is covered by your choice.

Maps and embedded content

The map on our contact page is provided by Google Maps, and our Trustpilot rating box (when switched on) is provided by Trustpilot. Until you allow this group (or press "Show map") neither is loaded and Google and Trustpilot are not contacted; the map is replaced by an "Open in Google Maps" link and the rating by a plain text figure.
